From the desk of the Chairman:-
It has always been at the back of my mind to return at least a part of what the society & the state has been kind enough to shower on me.
From my childhood, I used to watch the young people from the rest of the country, pass by, young people of our Sankarankovil in particular & our district Nellai; in general and going on achieving high positions in the social spectrum of the country.
It is this feeling which triggered the "doer" in me and I charted a course in my mind to start a school for young ones of Sankarankovil & nearby areas.
I could easily have established this school in any one of the most affluent cities like Kodaikanal, Ooty or even at Chennai, if I wanted to. But it is that insatiable dream of wanting to see more & more young people of our Sankarankovil & its immediate neighbouring areas should be able to join the respectable Foreign services, Administrative Services, Revenue services and also become reputed engineers, doctors, Research fellows, renowned economists etc., which made me stay grounded in Sankarankovil.
I am convinced, given the chance which, this school would no doubt excel in; that day is not far when Sankarankovil will occupy a prominent place in the map of Tamilnadu & India. My dream will then be fulfilled when young boys and girls passing out from this school; start getting elite positions in their professional lives.
No longer will young boys and girls have to walk for miles in the scorching heat of the day to reach the nearest schools, too exhausted to be able to pay proper attention to the teachers. I love to see the young ones enjoy coming to the school and gain some knowledge at long last. Teachers of this school are being carefully selected from the best of the available lots. These teachers will ensure that knowledge is imparted for the benefaction of the next generation of youngsters of Sankarankovil and around. No other institute can match our Efforts. This is our Institute.
